On April 24,1915 the Armenian genocide began, where an estimated 1.5 million Armenian Christians were killed. Many women were raped and beaten. The Turks were responsible for this, with the intent to destroy, in a whole or as a part, a national, ethnic, or religious group. This genocide lasted until 1922, when Eastern Americans beat the Turkish in the battle of Sardarabad, ending their killing rampage on Armenian soil.
